The Peninsula Shanghai

“Opened on the historic riverfront Bund in 2009, The Peninsula Shanghai is The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels flagship hotel in Mainland China. The first new building on the Bund in several decades, it has twice been voted the Best Hotel in Asia by Travel + Leisure magazine, and the hotel’s Yi Long Court and Sir Elly’s restaurants both earned Michelin stars in The Michelin Guide Shanghai 2017.

ROOMS & SUITES

A thoroughly modern Art Deco masterpiece on the Bund, The Peninsula Shanghai is uniquely poised to offer unparalleled service and the ultimate luxury experience.

Renowned Location and Views

The Peninsula Shanghai is the only new building on the city’s historic Bund, the city’s most famous street which continuously buzzes with activity. From this prime location, the hotel offers spectacular views towards the historic 1920s International Settlement buildings, or over the Bund itself and the modern Pudong skyline.

DINING

Since opening in 2009, The Peninsula Shanghai has redefined wining and dining in the city. The three signature restaurants and two bars have had guests and local residents alike converging on the hotel to experience the culinary wonders of Sir Elly’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace, Yi Long Court and The Lobby, as well as the stylish ambiance of the Compass Bar and the glamour of Salon de Ning. In keeping with the rest of the hotel, The Peninsula Shanghai’s restaurants exemplify the classic luxury of the Art Deco era when the city was celebrated as the “Paris of the East”.

The Peninsula Shanghai is proud to be honored with Michelin Star at the launch of The Michelin Guide Shanghai 2017, the 28th edition of the world-famous Michelin restaurant guides and the first in Mainland China.  Yi Long Court was awarded two Michelin stars and Sir Elly’s received one star – making The Peninsula Shanghai the only hotel in Mainland China with two restaurants Michelin stars simultaneously.
