Le Sirenuse Positano
“Le Sirenuse Positano is a wonderful place from which to enjoy the simple pleasures of Positano and the spectacular Amalfi Coast.
John Steinbeck, who visited in 1953, wrote ‘Positano bites deep. It is a dream place that isn’t quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone.’
Location
We are located at the center of the village of Positano, on the Amalfi Drive, 50 km from Naples. Our rooms and terraces, 70 mt above the sea, are an unbeatable oasis of peace and silence, with a breathtaking view.
Rooms & Suites
Almost all rooms, suites and junior suites look out over the bay of Positano. Most have a private terrace or balcony and all have white-washed walls, vaulted ceilings and hand-made tiles on the floors.
Swimming Pool
Surrounded by lemon trees and comfortable deck chairs, the swimming pool offers a peaceful atmosphere in which you can unwind.
Le Sirenuse Spa
The Sirenuse Spa was designed by Gae Aulenti. Her project is modern and essential. We offer massages and face and body treatments using AVEDA’s aromatic essential oils, natural products and techniques.
La Sponda Restaurant
The light Mediterranean cuisine of our Michelin-starred La Sponda restaurant is based on fresh local ingredients and inspired by the great culinary traditions of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Infused by the leisured elegance of Positano’s dolce vita, La Sponda is illuminated, in the evening, by four hundred candles that create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Champagne Bar & Grill
Our Champagne & Oyster Bar enjoys breathtaking views over Positano. Sumptuously furnished and candlelit, it is open in the evenings from May to mid-October, weather permitting. It is the ideal place for a glass of champagne millésimé or a cocktail made to perfection, some oysters, shellfish, and fish carpaccios, all accompanied by the seducing music of our resident dj.
Should you decide to stay and dine here, a mouth watering menu offers grilled and fried mediterranean specialties, pasta and rice dishes and other delicacies.
Pool Bar and Restaurant
Our Pool Terrace is full of lemon trees and flowers. At the bar tables, overlooking the sea and shaded by a bamboo awning, lunch is served from 12.30 to 6pm.
History
Le Sirenuse Positano opened in 1951, when four Neapolitan brothers, the Marchesi Aldo, Paolo, Anna and Franco Sersale turned their summer house in Positano into a charming hotel, overlooking the bay of Positano. Today the 58-room resort is considered one of Italy’s leading seaside luxury hotels, though it still retains the intimate, cultured atmosphere of a private home.
Franco, an art connoisseur whose impeccable taste did so much to define Le Sirenuse’s signature style, passed away in January 2015. But this remains a cherished family concern. Since 1992, Franco’s son Antonio has looked after the day-to-day running of the hotel, while Carla, Antonio’s wife, designs Le Sirenuse Positano Mare Collection, a line of beachwear and womenswear inspired by Positano and sold at the Emporio Sirenuse boutique and in selected stores worldwide. Paolo’s daughter Marina created Le Sirenuse’s fragrance and skincare line Eau d’Italie with her husband Sebastián Alvarez Murena, while her sister Giulia curates Le Sirenuse’s much-loved outdoor planting schemes and indoor greenery.”
